Job Description Job Profile The CNC Machinist serves as a Subject Matter Expert in metal alloy production, responsible for programming, machining, and packaging finished products. Follows work instructions to complete shop orders on time while ensuring quality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities /n - Operate and program CNC and manual equipment (Lathe, Mill, Saw, Laser Engraver) to produce quality parts efficiently. /n - Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area; report incidents promptly. /n - Use ERP (IFS) system for inventory management, labor entry, and workflow adjustments. /n - Support inventory control, including auditing and reordering supplies. /n - Perform equipment maintenance, repairs, and hazardous waste coordination duties. /n - Assist in New Product Development (NPD) and document procedures aligned with LGC's Quality System. /n - Complete special projects and exemplify company core values daily. /n /n Qualifications /n - Associates degree with exposure to science (e.g. chemistry or biology); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred. /n - Demonstrated ability in a machinist role, or an Associate's/Certificate from an accredited school. /n - 2 years CNC Lathe programming and machining experience required. /n - Microsoft Office skills and ERP system familiarity required. /n - Proficient in math. /n - Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety. /n /n Competencies /n - Proficient in taking precision measurements and identifying metal alloys by physical characteristics. /n - Skilled in maintaining orientation of cast metal parts throughout the manufacturing process. /n - Experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills; machining various alloys preferred (e.g., Nickel, Magnesium, Zinc, Cast Iron). /n - Strong computer skills, including CNC programming and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). /n - Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. /n - Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach to challenges. /n /n Additional Information What We Can Offer You: LGC recognizes benefits are key resources as you navigate your well-being journey.
