• A variety of basic operational and maintenance tasks relevant to maintaining safe and reliable operations of water treatment and distribution facilities and systems ensuring operational compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Routine cleaning and general housekeeping duties in work and plant areas as assigned. including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, painting, etc.
• Work outdoors performing water distribution system maintenance functions including the operation and testing of valves, hydrants, meters, etc.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and/or verbal work orders and assignments.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations with the use of a calculator.
• Basic knowledge of fundamentals of chemistry, math principles and hydraulics required.
• Ability to utilize CMMS system to schedule and complete work orders.
• Ability to properly collect water quality samples. test and maintain collection records.
• Actions are controlled by standard work procedures and under direct supervision of others.
• Required to work a pre-determined weekend shift and be available for emergency call-out in rotation with other employees.WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Works a scheduled shiftQualificationsEducation / Experience / Background
    • Less than 2 years' experience in Water treatment industry
    • High school diploma or equivalentKnowledge / Skills / Abilities
      • Must learn and comply with all safety proceduresRequired Certification / Licenses / Training
