Position Details:

Title: Sr Equipment Operator
Location: Orleans, MA
Shift: M-F 8a-5p
Compensation: $28-$38/hr + OT
Travel: All travel will be in and around the Cape Cod area
Vaccine Requirement: No

Position Description: The Senior Equipment Operator has day-to-day responsibilities in the field. S/he is involved in heavy equipment operation, hauling of heavy equipment, herbicide application, field work, landscape construction, installation of bioengineering materials, equipment maintenance, and safe transportation of equipment. The Senior Equipment Operators duties include, but are not limited to:
--- Safely and effectively operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to: Excavator Operation, Brush Mower Operation, Skid Loader Operation, Front End Loaders and Track Loaders of various sizes and with a vast array of attachments
--- Conduct planting, landscape construction, install bioengineering projects, apply herbicides and conduct other plant management activities
--- Safely transport equipment in conjunction with the production schedule
--- Identify and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed on equipment and perform routine maintenance of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and other equipment in conjunction with crew leaders and the Director of Production

Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid Class A Commercial driver's license and must be able to attain a valid DOT medical card, MA Pesticide Applicator License, and Hoisting and Hydraulics License with in the first 30-60 days of employment. 5-10+ year of experience is preferred for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including but not limited to: Excavators, Brush Mowers, Skid Loaders, Front End Loaders and Track Loaders of various sizes and with a vast array of attachments. Experience working with power and hand-held landscaping, basic woodworking, and irrigation tools is also required. This position will require the majority of the work to be completed outdoors and getting hands dirty.
