We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a client in
Brewster, NY .
The Accounts Payable Clerk (A/P Clerk) reports to the Accounts
Payable Manager and assists with the compilation, processing, and
maintenance of Accounts Payable records.
Review and verify invoices are entered accurately into the system
with supporting documentation
Code invoices accurately to ensure proper entry into the financial
Prepare and process weekly batch check runs, wire transfers, and
Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closings
Reconcile vendor statements
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries as well as update
and maintain vendor database Internal credit card
Education and Experience
3-5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, not required
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in MS Excel and Word
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to
interface well with vendors and other departments
Ability to work independently
