Job Description:

The Client Care Associate is a member of the Customer Service Team. The Customer Service Team leverages all aspects of our hospital including doctors, patients, clients, our referral community, and all hospital staff positions. This is a full time, seasonal position but has the potential to evolve into a full time, year round position for the right candidate.

Duties include entering clients/patients into our practice management system, processing payments, scanning/ faxing, processing patient discharges, checking that laboratory results are entered into patient records, and helping with patient needs such as walks and some out-patient treatment needs. The team goal for a successful applicant is that each individual will become proficient not only in the typical CCA tasks but will grow and develop additional customer service, nurse technical, and financial skills.

The candidate should consistently contribute to a spirit of pride and excitement in that each employee is part of a team practicing excellent medicine with a high standard of patient, client, and referring veterinarian care. Flexible schedule includes some days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service with preference for experience in the veterinary profession

• Professional, pleasant, engaged, clear communicator who is attentive and respectful to referring veterinarians, clients, and co-workers.

• Must be able to balance multiple tasks, be confident, and prioritize tasks appropriately.

• Willingness and capacity to learn computer related programs such as (Word, Excel), office equipment (fax machine, copy machine, credit card) and veterinary software (DVMax).

• Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits and process payments

• Willingness to learn veterinary technical skills a plus
