POSITION TITLE: Associate Director of Admissions
(Temporary, up to one year, with an option for a concurrent
REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Admissions department clerical staff, as
STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Associate Director of Admissions
provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day administrative
operations of the Admissions Office. The Associate Director helps
lead the Admissions department while demonstrating a commitment to
higher education access and equity for all individuals and ensuring
a welcoming office environment with a strong focus on customer
service. The Associate Director is a key member of the enrollment
management leadership team in establishing policies, administrative
operating procedures, protocol, and customer service standards for
colleagues, as well as students and their families. The Associate
Director works collaboratively across the college to ensure shared
governance, transparency, and assessment practices while helping to
move the college towards comprehensive, innovative solutions to
meet the evolving Admissions needs of the Bristol community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with the Director of Admissions to establish and
implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating
Evaluate, implement and monitor systems for operational
effectiveness and affect changes required for continuous process
Manage the processing, evaluation, and admission decision
procedures for competitive admission programs.
Collaborate directly with Health Sciences academic area
leadership team and faculty to ensure admission criteria align with
academic program needs and admission best practices.
Provide timely reports and analysis to college leadership
including the Enrollment Management Leadership Team and Strategic
Analytics & Institutional Research.
Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) to support the
application, enrollment, and retention of students studying at
Bristol on an F-1 Visa.
Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related
best practices throughout all job functions.
Maintain a strong understanding of college, state, and federal
systems and regulations in relation to the Admissions process.
Use Bristol digital communication tools, to include but not
limited to; Bristol email, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other Bristol
social media tools, to advance the college's social media outreach
and brand to internal and external constituents.
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office.
Develop material for presentations to traditional (high school
graduate) and non-traditional students; present at Bristol events
or community/high school partner locations.
Hire, supervise, develop, and lead Admissions Office clerical
Conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure continuous
improvement and identify potential opportunities for growth. Work
closely with Human Resources to develop staff capabilities and
Collaborate with other Student Services and Enrollment
Management personnel and Academic Affairs personnel in all student
recruitment and retention efforts.
Serve as administrator in charge of the Admissions Office in the
Director's absence and as needed.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that supports

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Master's degree in Education, Management, or related
Minimum of three years of experience in admissions, advising, or
enrollment in a collegiate environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications,
student information systems and reporting databases.
The ability to work effectively with a diverse student body,
faculty, and staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Reliable transportation in order to travel to and from meetings,
trainings, or campus and community locations as required.
The ability to work some nights and weekends required
Demonstrated experience working in a community college.
Experience working with traditional (high school graduate) and
non-traditional student populations.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present presentations to
small (5-10) and large (100+) audiences at events hosted at Bristol
as well as at community/high school partner locations.
Robust understanding and demonstrated inclusion of access,
equity, and student success practices.
Demonstrated knowledge and consistent experience in using varied
social media outlets on behalf of a business or organization that
has proven to increase the digital footprint of the organization's

Ability to speak a language in addition to English.

POSITION STATUS: This is a full-time, up to one-year, temporary
non-unit position with benefits. This position may be reevaluated
after one year for future considerations, with option for a

SALARY : Hiring salary $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with
education and experience.
