This role promises routine and stable work hours, ensuring that you return home daily. As a part of Ryder, you will be instrumental in providing timely transportation services, bolstering our commitment to efficiency and quality service across various sectors. The ideal candidate will operate Ryder's vehicle fleet, transporting goods safely and efficiently, upholding our reputation in the logistics sphere. Operate Class B vehicles to transport goods as scheduled. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each route to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and travel times as per federal and state regulations. Coordinate with the logistics team to collect and deliver goods to the correct location on time. Attend and participate in safety meetings to ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups. Proficiency in operating Class B vehicles. Ability to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Strong time management and customer service skills.
