Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an adult Emergency Department night shift position requiring a current MA RN license and advanced certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a 65-bed adult Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area - Patient population includes all adult and pediatric emergencies with approximately 230 visits per day - Patient ratio is typically 1:4 - Night shift hours are 19:00 to 07:30 with every other weekend required - Floating to other units is required as needed - Uses Epic ASAP for EMR documentation - Duties include assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKGs, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education - Must demonstrate critical thinking in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency setting - Includes working in a team-based care environment with pods and specialized zones - Holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs - RTO must be communicated at time of application for consideration - Dress code requires appropriate hospital scrubs - Permanent residence must be at least 60 miles from the facility for standard travel rate eligibility; local candidates accepted with adjusted rate /n /n Requirements/n - Active unrestricted MA RN license required at time of consideration; Conditional or pending licenses not accepted - Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience required - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all AHA accepted only); NRP preferred - TNCC certification is strongly preferred - COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no medical or religious exemptions allowed - Primary source verification of license required and must be updated upon expiration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-591630.
