Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline:RN - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, nights - Employment Type:Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Post Anesthesia Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Boston, MA. Job Function: - Night Shift. - 3x12: 7pm - 7:30am. - Provides post-operative nursing care to the patient in an individual, emotionally supportive manner, consistent with any directions or orders given by the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician. - Documents all nursing activities and writes a nursing discharge note when the anesthesiologist documents that the patient is ready to be transferred to the progressive recovery room. - Ensures that all needed equipment and supplies are stocked and readily available. - Monitor’s and documents the patient’s vital signs and level of consciousness as per nursing procedure. - Job Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). - Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts. - 2 years of acute care PACU RN experience required. - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required. - Must submit resume, cover sheet, two references, and a completed skills checklist. - Required: 3 years of total RN experience, including 1 year of travel PACU experience and 1 year of experience in an academic medical center.
