Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Infojini Healthcare to find a
qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Boston, Massachusetts, 02111! Pay
Information $2,109 per week About The Position ID: 55226066 Shift:
12H Day/Night Rotate D/N rotation 12 hour shifts 7am-7:30pm and
7pm-7:30am with every other weekend. Description: Unit Notes: Will
accept LOCAL Placements (BR is $5 less if under 50 miles)ICU -
CVICU Float Pool RN (D/N rotate only)Required: a minimum of 2 years
ICU experience including cardiac experience. The candidate needs
recent competencies in devices Impellas, CVVH, IABP, and LVADs all
within the last 6 months. If all of this experience is not listed
clearly on the profile/in respective work experiences (to where we
can see how recent the experience is), we cannot send along. These
device experiences MUST BE PRESENT in the work experience. No
exceptions.Must have Level I Trauma experience!This would be
critical care (ICU) shifts would be D/N rotation 12 hour shifts
7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am with every other weekend.They would need
to have competencies in devices Impellas, CVVH, IABP, and
LVADs.Will float to all 6 ICUs and Pratt 8 our Cardiomyopathy IMC
unit.UnitICU(Please specify if specialty ICU, i.e., MICU, SICU,
TICU, CVICU, etc.) of Beds SICU- 10. MICU- 10, PG5ICU- 10, CCU- 10,
NCCU-8; CSICU- 18, Pratt 8 IMC- 14 Ratios 2:1 or 1:1 depending on
acuity Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) Yes to both
Common diagnoses/Types of patientsVaries on each unit all critical
care and IMC level of care on Pratt 8- Level 1 trauma acute
patients. Experience or 'Must have' skills Cardiac background
ability to manage devices IABP, impella, post op cardiac patients,
CVVH (CRRT) Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common
titratable &/or set rate drips Levo, Vaso ,Neo, Propofol,
titratable drugs- weight basedIs there a Charge Nurse on each
shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes to both Are
there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?
yes depending on unit size most run with 1 aide. Hospitalist
&/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7? Yes 24/7 MD
coverage RT in ICU 24/7? Yes RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High
Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides
trouble shoot? No respiratory is responsible for managing vents,
CPAP, Bipap- RN's must be aware of changes made- effective
communication with Resp team Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this
unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the
tele monitors? Yes- Swan- ganz cath thermo and FIC- Phillips
Monitors- tele strips every 4 hours if not more often Shifts &
Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
Day/Night rotating 50/50- We do participatory time sheets
"Wishlist" no guarantees- I appreciate work life balance but cannot
guarantee block scheduling each week/schedule Weekend Requirements
every other Holiday Requirements As needed we do expect them to be
available for one major winter and one major summer Is there a call
or standby requirement? No Floating Requirements ICU float Pool can
float between 2 units each shift- each shift will be different
Scrub Color/Dress Code No color preference- not allowed to wear
other facility logos How many shifts of unit/department specific
orientation? 3 shifts to orient and will walk them to all units to
