Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Registered Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in an acute care setting, with ventilation experience License: Active Respiratory Therapist License Certifications: CRT or RRT from the NBRC, BLS Must-Have: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy; ability to draw arterial blood gases Description: Registered Respiratory Therapist position available with 36 hours per week, nights and every other weekend. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and must possess ventilation experience in an acute care setting. The position requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy. Candidates should be proficient in drawing arterial blood gases. There may be rotation to day shifts when needed, but the night position is straight nights. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC, is preferred. The clinician to patient ratio consists of 5 Respiratory Therapists on day shifts, 5 on evening shifts, and 4 on night shifts. Day shifts include responsibilities such as charge duties and assignments to the ICU and Med/Surg floors. Equipment used includes PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator. Candidates must hold an active MA Respiratory Therapist License and relevant certifications.
