Job Description:
Position Description: Determines and specifies business requirements, workflows, use
cases, and processes for financial services products. Partners with
product and technology platform teams to gather and document
business requirements for new products and enhancements for
existing products. Executes analysis for medium-sized projects.
Documents requirements and creates specifications, and makes design
recommendations for medium-sized projects. Primary Responsibilities: Engages with prospective and current clients and business
partners to understand workflows and client needs. Documents business requirements, workflows, and use cases. Facilitates requirements gathering meetings and communicates
complex business strategies to team members. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions to ongoing
business issues. Develops user stories/use cases for current and proposed
business processes. Analyzes business processes and documents current and
recommended future state. Works closely with business and technology partners to ensure
clear translation from business to systems requirements. Reviews client feedback and product backlogs to continually
enhance client products. Performs feasibility and cost/benefits analysis. Develops use cases. Performs validation and testing of business models to ensure
adequacy and reformulates models as necessary. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions. Education and Experience: No degree and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or
five (5) years of experience performing business or systems
analysis -- leading business definition, requirements gathering,
story writing, and performing user acceptance testing -- within an
institutional or retail brokerage environment. Or, alternatively, Bachelors degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business
Administration, Mathematics, or a closely related field and/with
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years
of experience performing business or systems analysis -- leading
business definition, requirements gathering, story writing, and
performing user acceptance testing -- within an institutional or
retail brokerage environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business
Administration, Mathematics, or a closely related field and one (1)
year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience
performing business or systems analysis -- leading business
definition, requirements gathering, story writing, and performing
user acceptance testing -- within an institutional or retail
brokerage environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) implementing regulatory and
compliance programs for compliance with the Department of Labor
(DOL) Investment Advice Rule 144 for selling restricted and control
securities, Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code for 529
college savings plans, and the FINRA 3210 rule regarding Accounts
At Other Broker-Dealers and Financial Institutions. DE gathering and interpreting business, functional, and
technical requirements to support the building or enhancement of
account opening, trading, and money movement applications in a
brokerage industry by interacting with end users or end-user
representatives to define, interpret, and clarify the scope of
complex business requirements and process issues into logical use
cases -- epics and stories; and performing GAP analysis and
creating current and future state workflows using Microsoft
Visio. DE analyzing and defining the product management lifecycle --
managing requirements and workflows, using JIRA Confluence, and MS
Visio -- for institutional brokerage products with end to end
implementation of new brokerage products, including institutional
529 plans and institutional health savings accounts on a brokerage
platform. DE in the full systems development lifecycle and methodologies,
including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum ceremonies -- daily
stand-ups, sprint and iteration planning, backlog refinement, and
retrospective meetings; maintaining product, sprint, and iteration
backlogs, epics, and stories, using JIRA, Confluence, MURAL; and
performing Functional and UAT testing of stories, using HP Quality
