Tools was established in 1958 with three employees and a handful of
refurbished machines. Since then, the company has become one of the
largest privately owned machine tool importers in North America.
Methods designs and implements custom machining setups, including
machine tool selection, automation integration, and turnkey
automation cells. The corporate campus in Sudbury, Mass., comprises
a showroom/technical center, which contains automation,
applications, and a full range of cutting-edge machines. Methods
has more than 300 employees, seven technology centers, one high
precision machining center, and has installed more than 45,000
machines throughout North America. We have the following position
in Sudbury, MA: Precision Electrical Assembler Job Summary: We are
seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Precision Electrical
Assembler to join our production team. This role is responsible for
assembling high-precision mechanical and electrical components used
in CNC milling and turning machines. The ideal candidate has a
strong background in electromechanical assembly, excellent
attention to detail, and the ability to work with tight tolerances
and complex schematics in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Electrical Assembly: Install and route wiring
harnesses, control panels, terminal blocks, and electrical
enclosures. Connect and terminate wiring for motors, sensors,
encoders, and control systems following wiring schematics and
diagrams. Perform continuity testing and insulation resistance
checks to verify proper electrical connections. Assemble and mount
CNC control units (such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi) into
machine cabinets and enclosures. Documentation and Quality Control:
Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, electrical
schematics, and wiring diagrams. Follow detailed work instructions,
standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality checklists.
Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet company and
industry standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed and
parts used. Collaboration and Safety: Work closely with
engineering, quality control, and manufacturing teams to resolve
technical issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow
all safety guidelines and procedures related to mechanical and
electrical assembly. Required Qualifications & Skills: High school
diploma or equivalent required. Technical certificate or associate
degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
2 years of experience in precision mechanical or electrical
assembly (CNC or industrial equipment preferred). Ability to read
and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Strong
manual dexterity and attention to detail. Familiarity with
multimeters, torque tools, calipers, and micrometers. Basic
understanding of CNC machine operation and components is a plus.
Proficiency with standard hand tools and electrical crimping,
soldering, and stripping techniques. Good verbal and written
communication skills. Supervisory Responsibilities: none Travel
Requirements: Approximately 25% of time Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Stand or sit for extended periods.
Perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity. Occasional
